云来菌以云南野生菌的自然意象为线索，将一片轻盈的“云”悬于餐桌之上。树木、山石、苔藓与温润木色在深色背景中被光线托起，让热闹的餐饮空间保留山野的呼吸感。
A suspended white canopy forms the visual centre of the restaurant, while seating and circulation gather around trees and stone. Dark surfaces contain the light; warm timber, blue-green tableware and layered planting create a calm, recognizable atmosphere rooted in Yunnan.
Beneath a low cloud, the mountain landscape becomes the breath between tables.
U DESIGN
Inspired by the landscape of Yunnan and its wild mushrooms, Yun Lai Jun suspends a light, cloud-like canopy above the dining room. Trees, stone, moss and warm timber emerge against a dark backdrop, bringing the breath of the mountains into a lively restaurant setting.
Rather than reproducing a literal forest, the design extracts scale, light and texture from clouds, trees, stone and objects, translating regional memory into an experience shaped by movement, pause and everyday use.
A Light Canopy Defines the Centre
Seen from the entrance, a soft white canopy hangs like a low cloud around the central trees and stone. It breaks down the rigid edges of the original commercial shell and translates the name Yun Lai Jun into a spatial memory that can be felt.
Concealed light diffuses gently downward and tree shadows shift as visitors move, while the black ceiling and dark walls recede to make the central landscape a stable visual anchor.
A Breathing Landscape Between Tables
The central planter is not an isolated decoration but the element that organizes seating and circulation. Trees, ferns, moss and rock descend in layers to create the depth of a mountain landscape within a limited footprint. Planting also screens views naturally, maintaining a comfortable distance between adjacent tables.
Mirrors overlap greenery, tabletops and fragments of tiled roof, extending the perceived boundary and giving each viewpoint a changing composition. Dining activity is held within a quieter sense of nature.
