Fang Ju Boutique Stay connects arrival, shared living and different guestroom types through courtyards, water, a public reading room and a calm hospitality sequence. A traditional street-facing entrance meets contemporary interiors, while the night courtyard, lobby, dining area and guestrooms form a quiet route for staying.
The design builds continuity between entrance, water courtyard, reading room, dining area and guestrooms. Public spaces bring a lived-in quality to the stay, while the room system supports short visits, family travel and longer stays.
Arrival with the scale of a quiet street
The entrance keeps the scale of a local street. Grey brick, timber doors, illuminated signage and a restrained eave create the first point of recognition. The project does not rush into a resort gesture. It lets arrival become a slower passage inward.
Inside, water and glass pull the exterior landscape toward the public rooms. At night, light falls across the water and walls, turning the courtyard into a transition from the pace of the city to the tempo of staying.
Lobby, reading room and dining as places to stay
The public area does more than receive guests. Reception, reading room, tea table and dining area form a continuous shared scene where guests can check in, read, drink tea, eat breakfast or wait for companions.
